47-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Prince George’s County: Police

A 47-year-old man was shot and killed in Prince George’s County over the weekend, police said.

Darryl Hazel, of Suitland, was found wounded from gunfire as officers responded to the shooting report near the 6300 block of Suitland Road in Camp Springs around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, April 7, PGPD said. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s) but do not believe the crime was random.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
